"Summary": "Superintelligence is finally here—and it’s rattling people. Anthropic’s new model isn’t being released to the public (at least not yet). Instead, it is being directed toward an initiative to identify and patch security vulnerabilities across the internet. At the same time, the U.S. government has reportedly convened financial institutions to coordinate using this model to shore up their own defenses. Even the name—Mythos—sounds like something rising out of the abyss. Here’s the issue: other frontier models are reaching similar levels of capability. How long before one is released publicly to gain a competitive edge? These systems are powerful enough to be used offensively—able to discover and exploit vulnerabilities faster than organizations can patch them. What can you do right now: (1) Use strong passwords, MFA, and especially passkeys everywhere possible; (2) Assume breach is inevitable—limit the blast radius. Separate systems and identities: Personal email, Shopping/accounts email, Work email, Financial accounts. Lock down access to critical accounts and data. (3) Do not give AI direct access to your core systems (email, OS, accounts). Instead, use intermediary tools that fetch data, pass it to the AI, and return results. Bottom line: operate as if your systems will be tested and design them so failure is contained. https://metatrends.substack.com/p/a-disruptive-moment-in-time",
