"Summary": "<p>Amazing chart on residential costs. The cost of buying a house is a factor of real estate values, interest rates, and much more recently, insurance. It has gone parabolic in the last few years, which is very bad sign because any chart that shows parabolic rises like this means it is unsustainable and prone to crashing back down. What is fascinating is going back and seeing similar parabolic rises, followed by periods of deflation that can last decades, before the next parabolic blow-off comes once again. Are we setting up for another decade or two deflation in real estate values? It sure looks that way to me. </p>",
