We desperately need to control healthcare costs - we spend the most of any developed country, and yet we are still the sickest nation. Yet, the future of healthcare could be very bright for the U.S., as AI could help slash costs associated with obesity, alzheimers, dementia and disability, realizing annual government cost reductions over a trillion. Longevity breakthroughs could delay retirement and increase workforce participation, adding another trillion to tax receipts annually.
